The price was a big factor to compete with other models available in maker, the price of Volkswagen Tiguan Comfortline is 27.49 lacks whereas the highline variant cost is slightly more than Comfortline, and its ex. showroom price is 31.38 lacks. In this price range Tiguan has to compete with all new Skoda Kotiaq, Jeep Compass. However in same price range, you can offered other options in 7 seater segment, In this segment Tiguan has to compete with this Toyota Fortuner, Ford New Endeavour and Hyundai Tucson.
Talking about its exterior design, it looks very attractive, Sporty look. The built quality is also fantastic. The plastic used for Tiguan gives a very smooth feeling, that you can easily feel Luxury texture into it .Tiguan has Automatic Full-LED Headlamps that give fantastic visually at the night drive.
If you take one look inside the cabin, you will feel very comfortable. You will definitely love this cabin design, you will see, how well they have designed the cabin, even the seat leather material they used, it’s very high quality, echo friendly and also its not harm full to the human body, this type of material used in very costly Vehicles like Bentley. This type of leather called as Vienna Leather.
If we talk about the cabin space, the Tiguan is a big spacious Luxury SUV. Very comfortable from front row to rear seat row, both sides have big legroom. Tiguan also has arm rests, soft and adjustable seats. The AC vents have very good isolation from front to rear, it gives the best cooling effect inside the cabin also it has It has three Zone climate control.
Tiguan has 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system that can easily connect to apple CarPlay, Android Auto Support system.
The Tiguan has Daytime stylish LED light system and on the safety side you will find full pack airbags too.
Talking about its engine & Performance first let me inform you that this SUV build on same platform MQB i.e. Modular Transverse Matrix platform system, on the same platform AudiA3 and Skoda Superb already built. The MQB is own Volkswagen group platform.
Now, let’s talk about its engine capacity, the Tiguan runs on Petrol 2.0 liter TDi Diesel Engine, that can produce 340 Nm torque and 143PS power, both the models have 7 speed dual clutch DSG gearbox with paddle shift. While driving engine feels very smooth with lot of power, it gives Luxury vehicle performance.
As said engine is very smooth, but it’s not the only fact because engine won’t produce noise, you will not feel any engine noise inside the cabin, when you will drive under city or on highway condition, it’s completely awesome even the Gear shifting gives very smoothness, without delay it shifts from any gear to any gear, you will not feel that you are running on top gear
After completing 660 km of distance in a day, no tiredness, no sleepiness, however we took 2 halts one is on 270km and next is on 470km for around 10 to 15 minutes. If you will drive, we strongly feel that you can take a drive more 500km in day without any hassle, we are sure that you will love that drive. While driving if you reach more than 100kmph you will feel better grip on steering. The breaking was not that mush smooth enough it should be better than this. But this can be negligible as it won’t create any problem; we think issue will disappear after 1st or 2nd servicing.
In India this SUV will love hart of people if you are a fan of 5 Seater SUV. But only price factors can make unhappy, because you can buy 7 Seater SUV in the same price tag. However, if you purchase this SUV, we are very sure you will definitely love it.
