Ford India rolls back 5,397 EcoSport and here is the reason
Ford India said on Friday that it is recalling 5,397 units of its popular sports utility vehicle (SUV) Ecosport. The company says that there is some disturbance in Front Front Control Arm and driver and front passenger seat fixer lock, which will be corrected.
The company said in the statement that these vehicles were produced in the company's Chennai based plant between May 2017 and June 2017 and between November 2017 and December 2017. For this, the company has written a letter to the owners of 1,018 Ecosource, asking them to return the carriage.
The company said that for some parts of these trains, the work has not been done according to fixed criteria and a decision has been taken to bring the cars back to overcome these shortcomings. The company further said that it is committed to provide world-class quality vehicles to its customers.
Let us say that Ford India had introduced the market in its EcoSport in November last year. The car has 1.0 EcoBoist engine and it is the best-selling third SUV in India. In May this year it had 5,003 units sold.
