Maruti and Toyota to sell each others car, contract signed from 2019
The year 2019 is a joint venture year for the country's largest car maker company Maruti Suzuki India and Toyota Motor Corp. They would sell each other's cars in country from 2019.
According to the agreement between them, The Maruti's Premium hatchback Baleno and successful compact SUV Vitara Brezza will be supplied to Toyota and with exchange Toyota will supply its Corolla Altis sedan to Maruti , this unique joint venture happened first time between car manufacturer companies
Both the Japanese companies Suzuki Motor Corporation and Toyota Motor Corp. made the agreement on Thursday 27 March. Auto companies found this kind of agreement for the first time.
Both the companies, while issuing the joint statement, said they will consider the details of each model, the date of commencement of the supply, specifications, the number of the train and the price at which the supply will be made.
These carts will be sold from Toyota (Toyota Kirloskar Motor) and Maruti (Maruti Suzuki India) Sales network in India, he said. Maruti Suzuki's Baleno and Vitara Breja are included in top sailing trains in India.
